Exterior Upgrades and Accessories for Cars & Karts Alike

The great thing about exterior add-ons is that most of them aren’t limited to just a single type of vehicle.  Whether you have a small kart or a large SUV, you can often apply many exterior modification techniques and add-ons to them at your discretion.  Below, we’ll go over many of the popular exterior upgrades available to small and big vehicle owners alike, so that you can decide for yourself whether you want to install a rear spoiler, a shiny new emblem, or something else entirely.

Small Touches

Sometimes, owners prefer small, subtle touches because they make the most dramatic difference in comparison to their size.   A simple license plate frame, for instance, can allow a driver to add a personal touch to his car without requiring him to perform any sort of major installation.  Emblems, too, are small in scale but large in importance.  Vehicles missing their emblems can be devalued in worth, and replacement emblems are easy fixes to avoid such devaluation.  From license plate boxes in a variety of styles to brand new lug nuts, small pieces can impress when installed correctly and with the right design intentions.

Big Add-ons

Even though small stuff can have big ramifications, big stuff can potentially have huge benefits (and equally huge consequences if not installed properly).  Even a go-kart can take advantage of a storage system, but the owner has to make sure it doesn’t weigh down the kart too much.  From roof racks for additional out-of-car storage to car covers and tow kits, there are plenty of large add-ons to consider, and many of them offer greater functionality than their smaller counterparts do.

Body Mods

When you’re considering exterior modifications to your vehicle, you certainly don’t want to only think about it in terms of add-ons.  Sometimes, changing out dated, damaged, or otherwise unworthy stock components for aftermarket replacements is essential to really improving a vehicle’s exterior.  New fiberglass or carbon fiber hoods certainly weigh less and look sleeker than heavy, stock hoods.  Grille replacements can add some gloss and high-shine to an otherwise dull vehicle, and even though rear spoilers aren’t always replacements, adding one to car’s body will either make it look impressive or too over-the-top, but either way it will look different than before.  And since what you’re aiming for is a different look and modified functionality, no matter what parts you choose, you’re getting one step or more closer to your goal.
