The U S 13 Kart Club would like to extend their blessings to the Darling
Family. Prayers & Sorrow goes out to the family.
Ken Darling, 67 Years old lost his life after a battle with malignant
Melanoma cancer where he diagnosed three years ago, he sadly passed away
on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009. Mr. Darling was still active in the racing
community to the end and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Darling ran the Milford Kart Club from 1988 to 1992 when it was Piney
Neck. Mr. Darling had been a race fan all of his life. The family
continued to run Darling Race Team for over 25 years. He continued to help
one of his son's Kevin Darling who runs in the famous URC Sprints. Along
with his other son Jay, and grandson, Jace has continued to help them
continue. In 1998 he was the sponsor of TUSA National Modified Lite when
Judd Mills won his title.
The funeral arrangements will be listed later as it will be available
tomorrow, in the Delaware State News, News Journal, and Dover Post papers.

TACK CLEAN UP HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO POOR TRACK CONDITIONS & THE GROUND BEING TOO WET TO PREPARE THE TRACK. IT WILL NOW BE SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH FROM 9AM-12PM. WE WILL TAKE A BRIEF INTERMISSION TO PREPARE THE TRACK FOR PRACTICE, GATES WILL OPEN AT 2PM AND PRACTICE IS TO BEGIN AT 4PM. AGAIN CHILDREN UNDER 15 ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND TRACK CLEAN UP IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE 5 POINT BONUS POINTS. 3/6/09
Track Clean up is this Saturday, March 7th gates open at
9AM. It will not be mandatory for the Jr racers (under 15) to attend in
order to receive their 5 bonus points. If there are multiple Jr racers in one
family only one parent has to attend. We do ask you to bring Shovels,
Wheelbarrows, Rakes, Brooms and anything you may feel we need for Track Clean

conflicts with the Maxxis National Race in South Carolina. Maxxis is our
“Series Sponsor” and it would be a conflict to run a points race against

for this event. This will be a Non-Points Race on the Oct. 17 and
strictly a Trophy race for the racers that do not plan on traveling to
Maxxis National event. If we do not get at least 60 entries, this event

The U. S. 13 Kart Club Track would like to express Deepest Sympathy for 16 year old Kyle Dixon that lost his life way before his time. Kyle of Delmar, was killed Friday night, Jan. 4, 2008.
